One thing to flag right away. Ryanair changed their free bag dimensions in August 2025, going from 40x25x20 cm to 40x30x20 cm. That's 5 extra centimeters of width. Doesn't sound like much, but it actually makes a noticeable difference. Plenty of older blog posts and product descriptions still list the old measurements. Watch out for that.
