Discover Airlines New Routes for Winter 2026/27: Agadir, Fès and Ivalo

Agadir from Frankfurt runs Mondays and Fridays, Fès from Munich on Sundays. Discover's press release of 9 March 2026 has both running from late October 2026 to the end of March 2027. You leave in the morning and land around midday, roughly four hours later. According to Discover, it's the only non-stop route to Fès from Munich.

An exact start date? Discover doesn't name one. The general winter flight schedule 2026/2027 opens on 25 October, but the first Agadir departure can't be derived from that. To book early, check the booking engine (not reachable for this research).

Discover has flown to Marrakesh from Frankfurt and Munich since 2022, per its press release, with up to 13 connections a week in winter. Together that's up to 16 weekly Morocco flights across three destinations.

For Morocco you need a passport (a national ID card isn't enough), per the German Federal Foreign Office (as of 19 September 2026). No visa up to 90 days, passport valid for at least six months.

Ivalo starts on 23 December 2026: one flight a week, on Wednesdays, from Munich only. That's what Discover and airport operator Finavia both say, and Finavia adds 24 March 2027 as the final date. Per Finavia, the Lufthansa Group already serves Ivalo in winter from Frankfurt, Vienna, Düsseldorf and Zurich. So the new part is the departure airport, not the destination.

Strictly speaking Ivalo sits in Northern Europe, not Scandinavia. Finland and Iceland don't belong there.

The rest of the northern network is already running: Evenes, Alta and Kittilä from Frankfurt, plus Reykjavik from Munich, all listed as existing in Discover's overview of 3 August 2026.

For carry-on, HolidayCheck (as of 20 January 2026) lists 55x40x23 cm and 8 kg plus a personal item; Discover's own baggage page wasn't reachable for this research. Economy Light includes no checked bag (AirHelp, as of 20 July 2026). On a four-hour flight to Agadir, settle that before booking.

The fare name matters more than any single number. Since 28 April 2026 the Lufthansa Group has sold an Economy Basic fare on selected European routes: for travel from 19 May 2026 it includes only a personal item. Discover is one of the seven airlines involved, per the Lufthansa Group. None of the sources checked says whether Basic is sold on Agadir, Fès or Ivalo.

Adding a carry-on bag to Basic costs from €15 on the Lufthansa Group per the ADAC (as of 24 April 2026), while travel-dealz quoted at least €20 (as of 23 April 2026). Neither is a confirmed Discover price. For the personal item, PointsMag (as of 28 April 2026) and travel-dealz list 40x30x15 cm, whereas HolidayCheck (as of 20 January 2026) and AirHelp (as of 20 July 2026) say 10 cm deep. Savonlinna starts on 19 June 2027 and Kajaani on 17 December 2027, per Discover (3 August 2026), both after this winter.
