Ryanair Boarding Pass Without App: Flying in 2026

Ryanair Boarding Pass Without App: Flying in 2026

A Ryanair boarding pass without app access doesn't automatically mean you'll miss your flight. Your check-in status comes first. A missing phone, broken app, or flat battery is a different problem from an incomplete online check-in.

1

Ryanair without a smartphone: Have you checked in?

  • Yes: No phone, lost device, flat battery, or no app? Contact the desk early. Make it clear that your online check-in is complete.

  • No: You don't merely need help displaying a pass. You need airport check-in, with a possible fee.

Ryanair's report from the first day of the change is the clearest official evidence for this fallback. On 12 November 2025, Ryanair said passengers who had checked in online but couldn't show a digital pass received a free boarding pass at the ticket desk. Useful day-one evidence, yes. A permanent entitlement, no. Don't wait until you're at the gate to ask for help.

Once the pass problem is sorted, the current Ryanair hand luggage rules are a sensible next check.

2

Can you print a Ryanair boarding pass?

Normal self-printing ended with the digital switch. Ryanair confirmed 12 November 2025 as the final launch date, replacing the earlier 3 November plan. Shortly before launch, Ryanair also said passengers could no longer download and print the standard paper pass.

So don't treat an old printout, PDF, or screenshot as a guaranteed equivalent. If your phone or app fails after online check-in, the desk is the better-supported route.

Ryanair airport check-in without online check-in

A fee may apply here. The checked sources don't establish a current euro amount, so an older figure would mislead. Ryanair's 5 March 2025 announcement referred to removing “almost all” airport check-in fees, not every fee. Check the current amount in your booking and with Ryanair.

4

Take care with departures from Morocco

A special paper-pass rule is currently reported for departures from Morocco. Complete online check-in, then check your booking instructions and current Ryanair guidance shortly before travel. Don't extend the exception to flights arriving in Morocco. This article can't promise which airports, desk steps, or charges apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I fly Ryanair without the app?

Ryanair documented help on 12 November 2025 for passengers who had checked in online but couldn't show a digital pass. For your flight, check the current instructions and contact the desk early with your ID and booking reference.

What should I do if my phone is flat or lost?

If online check-in is complete, contact the Ryanair desk early. A flat battery or lost device doesn't cancel your check-in, but you'll need help with the boarding pass.

Is a Ryanair boarding pass PDF or screenshot enough?

Don't treat either as a guaranteed equivalent. For a Ryanair boarding pass without app access, the desk is the better-supported route after online check-in.

Is Ryanair airport check-in free?

Not in every case. The free boarding-pass issuance documented on 12 November 2025 applied to passengers who had already checked in online. Without online check-in, a fee may apply; check your booking.
